Jan 20, 2024

The Irish indoor rowing championships took place on the 20th of January, in the university of limerick.
This event is always enjoyable for spectators and was very well run - running on time all day long.
CIRC rowers did their club proud with strong performances all around:
possessing won the WJ13 500m sprint, last year, Grace Faherty hoped to repeat that success in the WJ14 500m sprint - and she did not disappoint, crossing the finishing line in a blistering time of 01:38.9 (This time would have earned her a sliver medal in the WJ18 500m).
There were silver medals for Harvey Solan in the MJ16 1K, and the Mens 3rd School year 2K relay (MYT3 2K). And Bronze medals for Yike Cai (WJ16 1K) and also the Womens' 3rd school year Relay (WTY3 2K).
There were also some near misses (in terms of medals) for Yike Cai, in the WJ16 500m, and for the WTY2 2k relay team of Izzy Howley, Maeve Guckian, and Sophie Ryder.
