1989: The National Championships. Winning Women’s Junior 18 eight from left, Barbara Geraghty (Coach), Deirdre Caden, Anna Bonner, Deirdre Darcy, Celest Auge, Riana Parsons, Shiela Auge, Moira Hall, Fiona Lawless, Bobby Platt (from Coleraine, representing the IARU at the presentation) and Ailbhe Thunder (cox).
1989: Cox Áilbhe Thunder dripping with glory -- possibly after the Jes had won the first ever Women's Junior 18 eight at the National Championships.
Ailbhe went on to cox the Irish Women's Junior fours (in 89 or 90) at the Homes in Strathclyde, Scotland. She was the second Jes women's cox to make the Irish squad.

In 1989 the Galway regatta hosted the inaugural Womens Junior 18 eight championship. There were seven crews entered and The above is the 2nd placed crew (all under 16) who competed in a borrowed boat. Most of this crew continued on to win the WJ18 eights championship in 1990 and 1991. Four of the crew also won the WJ18 coxed four championship in 1991. The crew were coached by Fr. Murt Curry S.J..

Joe Ryan was the second from CIRC to represent Ireland at the Junior World Championships in MJ8+ in Cologne, Germany in 1987.

A.J. Cahill was the the first rower from CIRC to represent Ireland at the Junior World Champioships in the Men's Junior 18 eight -- held in Branderberg, Germany in 1985.
